Eyebrows are key to your look as a frame on your face. Products are now available that work for brow color and taming, beyond eyebrow pencils. I’ll leave the shaping up to you!
- Anastasia Brow Gel: Anastasia started her salon in Beverly Hills and soon became a trendsetter for brow styling. Her line includes all kinds of kits, templates, and products for the brow. The brow gel comes in clear and brunette, espresso, granite, caramel, blonde, and auburn. The brush is a good length and fairly easy to handle. The product lasts for a long time since you don’t need to apply very much. It dries on your brow feeling as though you’ve applied hairspray. This lasts all day and I like the look.
- L’oreal Brow Stylist Plumper: This one has a very long brush that is a little hard for me to use with my nearsighted eyes. The brush is more spiral and less bristly than the other two. The gel is wet and needs to dry once you apply. Brow Stylist Plumper comes in transparent, light to medium, and medium to dark.
- Maybelline Brow Drama: The brush on this one is short with a very round end. This is my favorite brush. The consistency is a little like mascara, so you have to watch out for occasional clumps on your brows. Brow Drama comes in deep brown, soft brown, dark blond, and auburn.
Let me break it down: I wish the Maybelline brush came with the Anastasia gel!
Let’s talk story
Prominent eyebrows run in my family. I look at photos going back three generations (or at my siblings and cousins) and I see those brows! My sister and I are always searching for that balance between letting nature take its course and looking good. Let me know what works for you!
