4 hair product picks

July 20, 2015 by Lisa Grable Leave a Comment

It’s been fun exploring modern hair products with my hair stylist and I’m sharing my top picks with you! I began thinking about beauty products back when the natural look was in and beauty was a kind of diy. Girls rolled their hair on empty frozen orange juice cans!

Now, I have semi-wavy hair, so keep that in mind.

  1. John Frieda Luxurious Volume All-Day Hold Hairspray: I just love this product. After blow drying, you can just puff your hair up and spray near the roots so you have a big crazy clown hairstyle. Then shape it back with your hands to how you want it to look. It is a hairspray, but it’s the best feeling on my hair I’ve ever tried.
  2. Bed Head Manipulator: This is a gel/paste which smells totally tropical. Just a penny-sized dab rubbed on your hands and worked through your hair gives shape and hold, wet or dry. I pack some of this in a small container when traveling and it works great.
  3. Aquage Transforming Paste: A pea-sized dab of this paste worked through your hair with your hands provides fairly unsticky hold and a natural look. I like to use this one on freshly washed hair.
  4. Chi Infra Texture: This is a powdery hair spray that dries quickly and brushes out well. I like the small can for portability.
